Rentals

A dumpster rental includes delivery, the agreed rental period, pickup and the disposal weight allowance stated in your quote. Disposal weight above the allowance is charged at the per-ton rate stated in the quote. Additional days beyond the agreed rental period, a second trip because the container could not be delivered or collected as arranged, and relocation of the container are charged at the rates we give you when you book.

Loading

Containers must be loaded level with the top rail and never above it. Overfilled containers will not be collected until the load is levelled. The customer is responsible for keeping the container accessible for pickup, for keeping it covered when the law requires it, and for any damage to the container beyond normal wear.

Prohibited materials

Materials that Michigan or the receiving facility prohibit may not be placed in the container: friable asbestos, hazardous or flammable chemicals, oil-based paint and solvents, tires, lead-acid and rechargeable batteries, mercury-containing items, fluorescent lamps, appliances still containing refrigerant, covered electronics, medical waste, propane cylinders and similar items. If prohibited materials are found in a load, the customer is responsible for the cost of sorting, handling and lawful disposal.

Placement and permits

The customer chooses the placement location and is responsible for obtaining any permit required by the municipality for a container placed on public property, and for any fines resulting from an unpermitted placement. We will advise on placement and on local rules as a courtesy, but the permit and its conditions are the customer’s responsibility. We are not responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, pavements or underground services at the placement location where the placement was made as the customer directed; boards are placed under the container on request.

Junk removal

Junk removal is priced by the load. A firm price is given on site before work begins and is payable on completion. Items set aside by the customer before we start are not removed.

Payment and cancellation

Payment is due as stated in your quote or invoice. A booking can be cancelled or rescheduled without charge before the truck is dispatched; a cancellation after dispatch may incur a trip charge.
