Who We Are
A Lansing company with its own trucks, its own yard and its own phone line
Lansing Dumpster Co rents roll-off dumpsters and hauls junk from our yard at 220 South Larch Street, between downtown and the Eastside, minutes from I-496 and the US-127 and I-96 interchanges. We run five container sizes, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yards, plus a truck and a crew for the jobs nobody wants to lift.
The people on this page are the people you deal with. Peter runs operations and the trucks, John runs the yard and keeps the containers clean and roadworthy, Claire answers the phone, sizes your job and books the delivery, and Jane looks after customers and the office. When the office is closed the calls still come to us, not to a call center.
We quote one flat price that includes delivery, the rental period, pickup and a disposal weight allowance, and we say so before the truck leaves the yard. We also know the local rules, from Lansing’s refusal to permit any dumpster in the street (City Code § 1022.01) to East Lansing’s and Charlotte’s street permits and what the other towns and townships do and do not publish, and we tell you what applies to your address before we deliver.
How We Work
Where our loads go
Every load we haul goes to a permitted facility: construction and household loads to the Granger Disposal Center of Lansing on Wood Road and on to Granger’s Type II landfills, clean yard waste for composting, and clean masonry to recycling where a facility will take it. Material Michigan keeps out of landfills, such as tires, yard waste, lead-acid batteries, used oil, refrigerant appliances and asbestos, is routed to the right outlet rather than buried; our blog lists them.
