A roll-off dumpster is the open-top steel container a truck rolls off its bed onto your driveway or site and rolls back on when you are done. This page explains how the rental works from the first call to the pickup, so there are no surprises on either side.

One flat price covers delivery, the rental period you asked for, pickup and a disposal weight allowance that depends on the container size. The per-ton overage rate, applied only if your load goes over the allowance, is stated on the same quote. There is no fuel surcharge and no separate disposal charge. Extra days beyond the agreed period, a second trip because the container could not be delivered or collected, or moving it once placed are charged at the rates we give you when you book.

The truck needs about 60 feet of straight room to back in and roll the container off, and about 14 feet of overhead clearance free of low wires and branches. We put the door end where you tell us so you can walk material in, and lay boards under the rails on request. You do not need to be there; a marked spot or a photo is enough. In the City of Lansing the container must sit on private property, because the City issues no right-of-way permits for dumpsters.

Load level with the top rail; the truck has to tarp the container and travel legally, and an overfilled box gets levelled before it leaves. Keep prohibited items out: whole tires, yard waste in a mixed load, lead-acid batteries, used oil, refrigerant appliances, asbestos and hazardous chemicals all have their own routes in Michigan. Call when the container is full or the job is done and we collect it, usually within a business day, and haul it to a permitted disposal facility.
